In accordance with the Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan “On Guarantees of Equal Rights and Opportunities for Women and Men”, state bodies provide for the establishment of advisory councils on issues of ensuring equal rights and opportunities for women and men.
In order to ensure the implementation of this law, an advisory council on gender equality has been established under the State Committee on Statistics and is functioning effectively.
On May 17 of this year, a member of the working group under the committee of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan on women and gender equality Esanova Zamira Normurodovna studied the activities of this advisory council, established under the State Committee on Statistics.
During the study, the activities of the advisory council on ensuring equal rights and opportunities for women and men in a state body, ensuring equal rights and opportunities for women and men, the availability, systematic collection and analysis of statistical data and information on gender were considered.
