On May 24-25 this year, our capital hosts an international conference “Effective Governance for Economic Development”.
The purpose of this international conference is to ensure sustainable and inclusive economic growth in Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan and the Kyrgyz Republic.
On May 23, 2022, at the State Committee on Statistics, within the framework of this international conference, a meeting was held between the Chairman of the State Committee on Statistics Begalov Bakhodir Abdusalomovich and the head of the Bureau of National Statistics of the Agency for Strategic Planning and Reforms of the Republic of Kazakhstan Zhandos Shaimardanov.
During the meeting, an exchange of views took place on issues of bilateral cooperation, the effective use of statistical data in order to ensure the quality of governance and closely related policies in achieving the goals of good governance for economic development in Central Asia.
The event noted that the international conference “Effective Governance for Economic Development (EGED)” brings together experts from around the region on evidence-based policy development and reforms.
The conference participants will share their experience in the production, analysis and use of data for public policy, the process of implementing evidence-based policy, and strengthening the role of civil society.
