At a meeting on measures to improve national statistics, held on June 1, 2020, chaired by the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, special attention was paid to personnel issues, education, training and retraining of all specialists in the statistics system.
Based on this, on the basis of a clear plan established by the State Statistics Committee, a program of systematic training for the staff of the central office of the committee and regional statistical offices has been developed and approved.
The next videoconference organized by the Department of Industrial Statistics of the State Statistics Committee on May 29, 2022 became a logical continuation of the capacity building of the system employees.
Representatives of the State Committee on Statistics and territorial departments of statistics took part in the videoconference. At the event, State Committee on Statistics specialists studied the knowledge and potential of employees of territorial statistical offices regarding the terms of industrial statistics, the index of the physical volume of industrial production, the production of consumer goods and technological types of products, and calculation methods.
During the video conference, employees of the Department of Industrial Statistics of the State Statistics Committee and territorial departments of statistics exchanged views on the development of the system, discussing and analyzing the existing problems and shortcomings in the industry. The employees of the State Statistics Committee provided the employees of the territorial statistical offices with practical proposals and recommendations.
Representatives of the State Committee on Statistics provided detailed answers and explanations to questions from employees of territorial statistical offices.
Videoconferences of such practical importance are systematically organized by other departments of the State Committee on Statistics.
