As of April 1, 2022, the number of cows in the republic reached 4,675.9 thousand heads.
The main part of the number of cows was observed in dekhkan (personal subsidiary) farms - 4,320.0 thousand heads, or 92.4% of the total number.
A significant proportion of the total number of cows falls on the Samarkand region (14.5%). At the same time, an increase in the number of cows was recorded in Kashkadarya (11.5%), Bukhara (8.8%) and Fergana (8.4%) regions.
