At a meeting on measures to improve national statistics chaired by the head of state on June 1, 2020, the issue of human resources was raised, and instructions were given to train and improve the skills of all specialists in the statistical system.
On the basis of a specific plan established by the State Statistics Committee, a systematic training program for the staff of the committee's central office and regional statistical offices was developed and approved.
Based on this schedule, online seminars were organized to improve the skills of the system's employees and further enhance their knowledge and capabilities in this area.
The next videoconference, organized by the Department of Macroeconomic Indicators and National Accounts, was a logical continuation of the capacity building of the system.
The videoconference was attended by employees of the State Statistics Committee and representatives of the territorial departments of statistics.
The Head of the Department of Macroeconomic Indicators and National Accounts Mamadzhanov Abrorali Ashiralievich presented proposals on the work to be done in order to ensure the implementation of the relevant regulatory legal acts.
At the event, an exchange of views took place on the implementation of the national strategy for the development of statistics of the Republic of Uzbekistan for 2020-2025, as well as issues of providing users with statistical data at a high level.
A webinar was also held in the form of questions and answers related to the SNA. Answering questions, the staff of the regional statistical offices focused separately on the calculation of the gross domestic (regional) product, growth rates and deflator.
At the end of the webinar, achievements and shortcomings in this area were discussed, as well as suggestions and recommendations for improving productivity in the process of work.
