On June 20-22 this year, the international online conference “Recommendations on Refugees and Stateless Persons” is being held in the capital of Denmark, Copenhagen.
The international conference was organized by the Expert Group on Refugee and Stateless Persons Statistics (EGRISS).
The purpose of the event is to consider the feedback and recommendations provided by the UN Statistical Commission and country representatives, before the presentation of the draft IROSS (international recommendations for stateless persons) in March 2023.
On June 21 of this year, within the framework of this international conference, the Head of the Department of Statistics of the Namangan region Melihuzhaev Sanjarbek Obitkhanovich made a presentation on the topic “Pilot population census 2021 in the Republic of Uzbekistan and data on stateless persons”.
Also, during the international conference, reports were heard from representatives of various states on the launch of a statistical database of stateless persons using available data sources and a comprehensive exchange of views on eliminating existing problems was held.
Also, employees of the central office of the State Committee on Statistics took part in the online seminar.
