On June 22-23, 2022, the Anti-Corruption Agency, with the support of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe, held a two-day training on the topic “Developing an open data ecosystem, enhancing a culture of openness, transparency and accountability”.


This event was organized in pursuance of the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated June 14, 2022 No. UP - 154 "On measures to introduce a system to increase and assess the level of openness of the activities of state bodies and organizations."
More than 40 civil servants responsible for ensuring openness from more than 20 ministries and departments took part in the training.
The event from the State Committee on Statistics was attended by employees of the Department for Monitoring and Coordination of the Open Data Portal and the Information Service.


During the event, presentations were made on the formation of an openness index, the procedure for monitoring and rating the openness of the activities of state bodies and organizations, the tasks and powers of the anti-corruption agency in these processes.
The participants also exchanged views of government representatives on the open data policy and mechanisms for its implementation.
