As of January 1, 2022, the total length of railways in terms of territories in the Republic of Uzbekistan is 6,118.3 kilometers, of which the total length of public railways is 4,732.8 kilometers (the share of public railways is 77.4% ).
In terms of territories, the largest share of public railways falls on the Tashkent region (941.2 kilometers or 15.4% of railways), the Republic of Karakalpakstan (925.2 kilometers or 15.2%) and Navoi region (862.6 kilometers or 14 ,one%).
