On July 28, 2022, a webinar was held on the development of open data in Uzbekistan and the use of artificial intelligence technologies.
This event was attended by international experts such as Yuri Linkov, a recognized expert in the field of open data, representatives of international organizations, employees of the OSCE Project Coordinator in Uzbekistan, The State Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan on Statistics and E-Government Projects Management Center.
The following issues were discussed at the event:
- current state of the open data ecosystem in the Republic of Uzbekistan;
- prospects and directions of further development of open data in the Republic of Uzbekistan;
- improving the position of the Republic of Uzbekistan in international rankings and indexes in the field of open data, such as Open Data Inventory (ODIN), Global Data Barometer (GDB), etc.;
- "Open Data Policy" in Uzbekistan;
- further development of the digital data platform for use in software based on artificial intelligence on the Open Data Portal of the Republic of Uzbekistan data.egov.uz;
- filling in missing data of the Republic of Uzbekistan in databases of international organizations, such as UN data, World Development Indicators, World Bank and others;
- standard forms of socially significant information subject to mandatory placement by state bodies and organizations on their official websites and the Open Data Portal of the Republic of Uzbekistan data.egov.uz;
- proposals on improving the current legislative acts on the introduction of a system of certification of socially significant information when posted on official websites and the Open Data Portal of the Republic of Uzbekistan data.egov.uz .
