According to the State Statistics Committee, in the Republic of Uzbekistan at the beginning of the 2021/2022 academic year, the total number of higher educational institutions is 154, with 808.4 thousand students studying in them. Of the total number of students, 369.0 thousand (45.0%) are girls.
