At a meeting on measures to improve national statistics, held on June 1, 2020, chaired by the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, special attention was paid to personnel issues, education, training and retraining of all specialists in the statistics system.
Based on this, on the basis of a clear plan established by the State Statistics Committee, a program of systematic training for the staff of the central office of the committee and regional statistical offices has been developed and approved.
On the basis of this schedule, online seminars were organized aimed at improving the skills and potential of the system's employees.
On August 16 this year, the Department of Demography and Labor Statistics of the State Statistics Committee held another online seminar.
The event was attended by representatives of the central office of the State Statistics Committee and territorial departments of statistics.
At the event, Goskomstat specialists studied the knowledge and potential of employees of territorial statistical offices on the calculation of the number of resident population, assessment of the demographic state and methods of calculating wages.
The head of the Department of Demography and Labor Statistics Yuldoshev Zoyir Toshkanovich presented his proposals on the formation and improvement of statistical work in the field.
During the videoconference, employees of the State Statistics Committee and territorial departments of statistics exchanged views on the development of the system, discussing and analyzing the existing problems and shortcomings in the industry. The employees of the State Statistics Committee provided the employees of the territorial statistical offices with practical proposals and recommendations.
