According to the results of January-June 2022, the gross value added (GVA) in agriculture, forestry and fisheries in the Samarkand region amounted to 7,821.7 billion soums and, compared to January-June 2021, increased by 2.1%. In the period under review, the share of this sector in GRP reached 32.4% and, compared to the same period in 2018, decreased by 6.0 percentage points.
