As of July 1, 2022, in all categories of farms in the Surkhandarya region, the total number of cattle amounted to 966.9 thousand heads (101.9% compared to July 1, 2021), of which 344.7 thousand heads are cows ( 101.9%), sheep and goats - 2,474.7 thousand heads (102.3%), horses - 15.3 thousand heads (103.0%) and birds - 4,673.3 thousand heads (100 ,9 %).
