In the country, October 21 is widely celebrated as the day of the Uzbek language. The State Statistics Committee also organized a cultural and educational event dedicated to the holiday.
Muzaffar Ortikov, associate professor of the National University of Uzbekistan named after Mirzo Ulugbek, candidate of philological sciences Muzaffar Ortikov was invited to this cultural and educational meeting with the support of the Republican Center for Spirituality and Education.

At the event, the guest cordially congratulated the participants on the holiday of the Uzbek language and spoke about the rich history of the Uzbek language, in particular about the contribution of our great-grandfathers, such as Mahmud Koshgari, Alisher Navoi, Zakhriddin Muhammad Babur, Abdulla Kadyri, Mahmudhuja Behbudi, Abdulla Avloni to the development of our native language.
It was also detailed about the obstacles to the Uzbek language in the past, as well as the high attention paid today.


Kiyomiddin Akhmedov, adviser to the chairman on improving the efficiency of spiritual and educational work, ensuring compliance with legislative acts on the state language, expressed his opinion on the work carried out at the State Statistics Committee on office work in the Uzbek language, compliance with the law. Also, proposals were made to comply with the standards of the Uzbek literary language of statistical press releases, reports and other documents.
