On October 26, 2022, in cooperation with the State Committee on Statistics, The Ministry for Development of Information Technologies and Communications of the Republic of Uzbekistan, employees of the E-Government Projects Management Center and the responsible representative of the United Nations Development Program organized a training seminar on the topic "Development goals of the Aral Sea Region".
Within the framework of the event, issues of developing indicators for assessing the state of the environment and socio-economic development in the Aral Sea region and the introduction of an interdepartmental information exchange system on these indicators, automation of this system and the development of an electronic database were discussed.
Also, in order to ensure the openness of the activities of the Aral Sea regions, the possibilities of the newly created section "Aral Sea Region" on the Open Data Portal of the Republic of Uzbekistan, posting information about the territory, statistical indicators and the possibility of copying data through a separately created web service, creating database structures, making changes to the functionality of the Open Data Portal, etc. were discussed.
To use the additional features presented on the Open Data Portal, trainings were held for specialists and their knowledge and skills in entering and updating information were improved.
