At a meeting on measures to improve national statistics, held on June 1, 2020, chaired by the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, special attention was paid to personnel issues, education, training and retraining of all specialists in the statistics system.
Based on this, on the basis of a clear plan established by the State Committee on Statistics, a program of systematic training for the staff of the central office of the committee and regional statistical offices has been developed and approved.
On the basis of this schedule, online seminars were organized aimed at improving the skills and potential of the system's employees.
On November 11 this year, the Department of Statistics of Foreign Economic Activity and Trade of the State Committee on Statistics held a regular online seminar.
The event was attended by representatives of the central office of the State Committee on Statistics and territorial departments of statistics.
At the event, Goskomstat specialists studied the knowledge and potential of employees of territorial statistical offices on the terminology of foreign economic activity and trade statistics, methods of accounting for export and import products.
During the seminar, employees of the Department of Statistics of Foreign Economic Activity and Trade of the State Committee on Statistics and territorial departments of statistics exchanged views on the development of the system, having discussed and analyzed the existing problems and shortcomings in the industry.
Also, representatives of the State Committee on Statistics provided detailed answers and explanations to questions from employees of territorial statistical offices.
