On November 13-17 of this year, a delegation from the Korean Statistics Office “Korea Statistics” is on a practical visit to Uzbekistan to further expand cooperation and exchange experience on bilateral issues in the field of statistics.
On the first day of the visit, the delegation of the Korean statistics department “Statistics Korea” visited the Statistics Agency under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
During the meeting, the guests met with the heads of the central apparatus of the Agency, headed by the Deputy Director of the Agency of Statistics under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, with Ziyaev Zohidzhan Muratovich and exchanged views on issues of developing and expanding cooperation between the two statistical agencies.
The parties discussed and agreed to develop cooperation in such areas as human resource development, implementation of quality management systems, work with administrative data, other data collection systems, information systems, databases and IT infrastructure.
Also, within the framework of cooperation between the Institute for Advanced Studies and Statistical Research (IPKKiSI) and the Korean Statistics Authority “Statistics Korea”, scientific exchange will be establishedand trainings were organized.
Let us remind you that this is the second visit of the delegation of the Department of Statistics of Korea “Korea Statistics” this year; earlier, on May 15-19, the delegation of “Korea Statistics” visited Tashkent and Samarkand. The result of the visit was an updated memorandum between the Statistics Korea department of the Republic of Korea and the Statistics Agency under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
