On November 15 of this year, at the Tashkent State Economic University, the director of the Statistics Agency under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Doctor of Economics, Professor Bakhodir Abdusalomovich Begalov conducted an open lesson for students on the topic “digitalization processes taking place in our country.”


At the beginning of the open lesson, Bakhodir Begalov spoke about the policy of openness pursued in the field of national statistics, about the work being carried out to ensure the reliability and transparency of statistical information.


After that, in a presentation to students of the Tashkent State University of Economics, detailed information was provided on the widespread use of advanced information and communication technologies in improving the national statistical system of the Republic of Uzbekistan, including automation of information collection and processing processes, short-term search for statistical and analytical information in an interactive and accessible form.


During the open lesson, information was also presented on the scientific basis for the effective and optimal implementation of digital technologies in statistical activities, the capabilities of the automated information system E-stat 4.0, the introduction of digital technologies in sample statistical observations, automation of population census processes, the integrated information system “statistics” and achievements of Uzbekistan in the field of open data.


At the end of the event, the head of the Statistics Agency, B. Begalov, gave detailed answers to students’ questions using real examples.


Students who actively participated in the questions and answers received statistics kits as a gift.
