As of October 1, 2023, the number of sheep and goats in all categories of farms in the republic reached 23.9 million heads and increased by 2.3% compared to the corresponding period in 2022.
Analyzes by category of farms show that 78.5% of the total number of sheep and goats are owned by dehkan and subsidiary farms, 15.0% by farms, 6.5% by organizations engaged in agricultural activities.
