On November 16, 2023, an open lesson was held at the National Research University “Tashkent Institute of Irrigation and Agricultural Mechanization Engineers”, organized by the Statistics Agency under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan. It was attended by agency employees, university teachers and students, and representatives of the media.
In the open dialogue, information was presented on statistical indicators in the field of agriculture and ecology of our country.
Deputy Head of the Department of Agricultural and Environmental Statistics under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shuhrat Rustamovich Daliev made a report on this topic.
As noted, according to preliminary data, the total volume of products (services) of agriculture, forestry and fisheries in January - September 2023 amounted to 292,729.2 billion soums, including crop production and livestock farming, hunting and the provision of services in these areas - 285,088.8 billion soums, forestry – 5,662.2 billion soums, fisheries – 1,978.2 billion soums.
Also, in January-September 2023, all categories of farms produced 6,972.1 thousand tons. grain crops, 2,678.7 thousand tons of potatoes, 8,136.2 thousand tons. vegetables, 1,606.6 thousand tons of melons, 2,280.2 thousand tons. fruits and berries, 1,270.0 thousand tons. grapes, 2,265.2 thousand tons. information is provided on the cultivation of raw cotton.
