From 28 to 30 November 2023 in Bangkok, Thailand, the UN Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCATO) and the UN Department of Statistics held a workshop on the integration of statistical and large-scale data.
This international seminar was attended by heads of National Statistical Offices of ESCAP member states, representatives of the UN Department of Statistics and other foreign experts.
The event was attended by Deputy Director of the Statistics Agency under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Ziyaev Zohidzhan Muratovich.
At the seminar, an exchange of views took place on the integration of statistical and large-scale information, new methods of collecting, processing and disseminating data.
The need for statistical data management, technical measures and methodological capabilities, and the introduction of new ICT into the National Statistical System were also discussed.
An agreement was reached to further develop cooperation between the compilers of official statistics and the bodies responsible for collecting and maintaining a wide range of data.
