As of October 1, 2023, in all categories of farms in the republic, the total number of cattle was 13,851.2 thousand heads (102.0% compared to October 1, 2022), of which cows - 4,942.6 thousand heads (101.6%), sheep and goats - 23,850.7 thousand heads (102.3%), horses - 271.8 thousand heads (102.9%) and birds - 97,166.8 thousand heads ( 106.5%).
