According to preliminary data, the total number of sheep and goats in the republic as of October 1, 2023 reached 23,850.7 thousand heads.
This figure compared to the same period in 2022 was 102.3 %.
A significant share of the total number of sheep and goats falls in the Kashkadarya region (20.8 %).
At the same time, high numbers of sheep and goats were noted in Samarkand (10.8 %) and Surkhandarya (10.7 %) regions.
