On December 22 of this year, the Institute for Advanced Training and Statistical Research at the Statistics Agency hosted an international scientific and practical conference on the topic "BIG DATA, artificial intelligence and e-commerce in the development of the digital economy: problems, tasks, solutions".


The conference was attended by representatives of the American Universities of Pennsylvania and Georgia, the Korean Institute of Statistical Education, the Ural, Southern Federal and Financial Universities of Russia, Microsoft, the Polish International Academy of Business, relevant ministries and departments, as well as representatives of the Statistics Agency.


The main purpose of the international scientific and practical conference is to provide a broad overview of the theoretical and methodological aspects of the digital economy, to improve the methodology of statistical analysis of the digital economy, to show the role and place of artificial intelligence in the economy, the development of the digital economy, as well as to develop proposals for evaluating statistical indicators of the development of the digital economy.


The conference was attended by the Director of the Statistics Agency, Doctor of Economics, Professor Begalov Bahadir Abdusalomovich. He focused on the tasks provided for by the National Strategy for the Development of Statistics of the Republic of Uzbekistan for 2020-2025. He also informed the participants about the ongoing work in the country on the development of the digital economy, the implementation of statistical observations of these processes and the establishment of a rapid exchange of digital information between interested ministries and departments.


Following the results of the conference, proposals for the introduction of artificial intelligence into the analysis of BIG DATA, the main indicators of e-commerce and digitalization of the economy were summarized, and it was also decided to introduce mechanisms for their effective implementation.
