As of January 1, 2023, based on the results of bird counts, it was revealed that the total number of chukars in the republic in organizations implementing measures for the protection of wild animals and their breeding amounted to 232.3 thousand.
Among the regions, the largest share in the total number of chukars is in the Tashkent region (38.5 %).
A high share was also recorded in Kashkadarya (15.2 %), Surkhandarya (14.8 %) and Navoi (10.8 %) regions.
