According to a sample survey by the Statistics Agency, as of January-December 2023 in the Surkhandarya region, 81.7 % of households have children under 16 years of age.
Of them:
households with one child – 19.9 %;
households with two children – 24.6 %;
households with three children – 23.4 %;
households with four or more children – 13.8 %.
According to the survey, 18.3 % of households do not have children under the age of 16.
