On February 8-9, 2024, the “Central Asian Forum on Electronic Waste” was held in Bishkek (Kyrgyz Republic), organized by the German Society for International Cooperation, the United Nations Institute for Training and Research, the Center for the Promotion of Sustainable Development (CSD Center) and United Nations Environment Program (UNEP).

Deputy Head of the Department of Statistics of Agriculture and Ecology Daliev Shukhrat Rustamovich took part from the Agency of Statistics under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan.


The forum was attended by representatives of statistical services, ministries and departments in the field of environmental protection, non-governmental organizations, entrepreneurs from CIS countries, as well as experts from international organizations such as the German Society for International Cooperation (GIZ), the United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR) , Center for the Promotion of Sustainable Development (CSD Center), United Nations Environment Program (UNEP), German Environmental Agency, United Nations Development Program (UNDP) and others.

During the two-day event, participants discussed global trends and challenges in the field of e-waste management, problems and achievements of Central Asian countries in the field of e-waste management.
