According to a sample survey by the Statistics Agency, as of January-December 2023 in the Samarkand region, 76.7 % of households have children under 16 years of age.
Of them:
households with one child – 19.2 %;
households with two children – 28.5 %;
households with three children – 20.2 %;
households with four or more children – 8.8 %.
According to the survey, 23.3 % of households do not have children under the age of 16.
