In January-December 2023, 198,874 tons of fish were caught in the republic, this figure increased by 7.3 % compared to the corresponding period in 2022.
The largest volume of fish caught was recorded in farms – 98,572 tons, or 49.6 % of the total volume of its catch; on the contrary, low volumes were observed in dekhkan and subsidiary farms – 10,342 tons (5.2 %).
