According to preliminary data, in 2023, the number of live births in the republic amounted to 961,962 people, and the distribution of their parents by age group is as follows:
Mothers:
- under 25 years of age – 366,737 people (38.1%);
- 25-39 years of age – 584,426 people (60.8%);
- 40 years and older – 10,799 people (1.1%).
Fathers:
- under 25 years of age – 77,346 people (8.0%);
- 25-39 years of age – 801,837 people (83.4%);
- 40 years and older – 82,779 people (8.6%).
