According to preliminary data, as of January 1, 2024, the number of cattle in all categories of farms in the republic reached 14.1 million heads and increased by 2.1 % compared to the corresponding period in 2023.
Analyzes by farm category show that 90.8 % of the total number of cattle belongs to dehkan and subsidiary farms, 7.3 % to private farms, and 1.9 % to organizations engaged in agricultural activities.
