According to preliminary data, as of January 1, 2024, the number of horses in all categories of farms in the republic reached 275.9 thousand heads and increased by 2.6 % compared to the corresponding period in 2023.
Analyzes by farm category show that 68.8 % of the total number of horses belongs to dehkan and subsidiary farms, 24.8 % to private farms, and 6.4 % to organizations engaged in agricultural activities.
