On March 14 of this year, the Agency of Statistics under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan hosted a presentation of the results of a regional seminar on "Measuring e-commerce volumes" within the framework of the conference "Expanding global Access through e-commerce in Central Asia (e-GATE)", organized from February 29 to March 1 this year in Dushanbe (Tajikistan) with with the assistance of the World Bank.


At this event, Sherzod Muminov from the Department of Statistics of Foreign Economic Activity and Trade and Elena Afanasyevna Khan from the Department of Statistics of the Service Sector, who participated in the international conference, shared with the staff of the Statistics Agency the experience and skills gained during the regional seminar "Expanding global access through e-commerce in Central Asia (e-GATE)".


This presentation presented statistical methods and experience in measuring the volume of e-commerce in Central Asian countries such as Kazakhstan, Tajikistan and the Kyrgyz Republic, the experience of measuring the volume of e-commerce by experts from the statistical services of Albania and Slovenia, as well as international organizations such as UNCTAD, e-GATE of the World Bank.


During the presentation, an exchange of views on this topic took place, and the participants received detailed answers to all their questions.
