According to preliminary data, as of January 1, 2024, the number of sheep and goats in all categories of farms in the republic reached 24.1 million heads and increased by 2.2 % compared to the corresponding period in 2023.
Analyzes by category of farms show that 77.5 % of the total number of sheep and goats are owned by dehkan and subsidiary farms, 15.5 % by farms, 7 % by organizations engaged in agricultural activities.
