On March 25 of this year, the Statistics Agency under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan organized a round table at the branch of St. Petersburg State University in Tashkent.
The event was attended by the heads of departments of the central office of the Agency of Statistics under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, students of the branch of St. Petersburg State University in Tashkent, as well as students of St. Petersburg State University online.
During the round table, the head of the Department for International Cooperation and Information Exchange of the Statistics Agency Mamadaliev Odiljon Toirovich made a presentation on the Agency's activities, the methodology for the formation of statistical indicators, as well as on the content of the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan adopted on March 4, 2024 No. PP-114 "On measures to organize the activities of the Statistics Agency under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan".
Detailed information was also provided on the population census, gender statistics, sustainable development goals, the openness of statistical data and the results reflected in prestigious ratings and indexes.
At the end of the event, the specialists of the Statistics Agency answered in detail all the questions asked by the students and an agreement was reached on the regular holding of such events.
Students who took an active part were presented with various statistical collections and books.
