From 18 to 20 March 2024, the ninth workshop on the implementation of the System of Environmental-Economic Accounting (SEEA) was held in Geneva (Switzerland).

  The event was organized by the National Statistical Offices of Australia, Canada, Estonia, Finland, Germany, the Netherlands, Sweden and the United States, as well as the international organizations Eurostat, IMF, UNEP, UNSD, OECD and UNECE.

The meeting was attended by experts from National Statistical Institutions of Europe, the CIS, line ministries of the environment, agriculture, finance, academia, as well as experts from international organizations such as Eurostat, IMF, UNEP, UNSD, OECD and UNECE.

The seminar was attended by Dekhkanova Nigora, chief specialist of the Department for the formation of consolidated analytical information on agricultural statistics of the Department of Agricultural and Environmental Statistics of the Statistics Agency under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

The main objectives of the session were to share experiences on the creation and use of relevant SEEA accounts for measuring the circular economy and to identify future activities of international organizations supporting countries in managing and measuring the transition to a circular economy with SEEA, as well as presenting ongoing work to update relevant classifications, identifying and analysis of current practice in the use of SEEA in relation to climate change adaptation.
