According to preliminary data, the total number of cattle in the republic as of January 1, 2024 reached 14,142.4 thousand heads, this figure compared to the same period in 2023 was 102.1 %.
A significant share of the total cattle population is in the Samarkand region (12.3 %).
At the same time, high numbers of cattle were noted in the Kashkadarya (12.2 %) and Bukhara (9.6 %) regions.
