According to preliminary data, the total number of cows in the republic as of January 1, 2024 reached 5,046.3 thousand heads, this figure compared to the same period in 2023 amounted to 101.8 %.
A significant share of the total number of cows falls on the Samarkand region (14.9 %). At the same time, high cow numbers were noted in Kashkadarya (11.3 %) and Bukhara (8.8 %) regions.
