On April 1, 2024, the Anti-Corruption Agency held the 2nd meeting of the Commission for assessing the effectiveness and productivity of ongoing work in ensuring openness.

At the meeting, the Openness Index 2023 were announced, which assessed the effectiveness and productivity of the work carried out on openness in government agencies and organizations.
The calculation was carried out based on 8 indicators, consisting of 84 evaluation criteria. The performance indicators of the points scored were divided into categories – organizations scoring from 71 to 100 points join the ‘green’ category, organizations scoring from 55 to 71 points join the ‘yellow’ category, and those who scored less than 55 points include in the ‘red’ category.

The assessment included 103 ministries, departments and institutions, according to the results, 31 government agencies fell under the ‘green’ category (71-100 points), 43 organizations under the ‘yellow’ category (55-71 points) and 29 government institutions fell into ‘red’ category (below 55 points).
The Statistics Agency under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan has the highest score on the Openness Index 2023 (88,3 points). It is followed by the Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Complex JSC (86,8 points), "Central Bank" ( 86.4 points),the Competition Promotion and Consumer Protection Committee (86,2 points), the Navoi Mining and Metallurgical Company JSC (84,7 points) and the Khorezm Regional Administration (84,3 points).
