According to preliminary data, in January-December 2023, 25,885.8 tons of cocoons were produced in the republic, or in relation to 2022, this figure was 106.5 %.
A significant share of the total volume of cocoons belongs to the Samarkand region (12.9 %).
At the same time, high rates of cocoon production were noted in Andijan (12.9 %), Bukhara (10.5 %) and Kashkadarya (9.5 %) regions.
