At the end of 2023, gross value added created in the service sector amounted to 437.8 trillion soums and, compared to 2022, increased in real terms by 6.8 %.
The positive contribution of the service sector to GDP growth amounted to 2.6 percentage points.
The share of the service sector in GDP reached 43.4 %.
The largest shares of the service sector in the sectoral structure of the gross regional product belong to the city of Tashkent (60.9 %) and the Republic of Karakalpakstan (39.3 %).
