At the end of 2023, gross value added created in trade amounted to 63.5 trillion soums and, compared to 2022, increased in real terms by 9.9 %.
The positive contribution of the trade sector to GDP growth amounted to 0.6 percentage points.
The share of trade in GDP reached 6.3 %.
The largest shares of the trade sector in the sectoral structure of the gross regional product belong to the city of Tashkent (14.2 %) and Surkhandarya region (7.9 %).
