At the end of 2023, the gross value added created in the field of transportation and storage amounted to 56.7 trillion soums and, compared to 2022, increased in real terms by 8 %.
The positive contribution of the transportation and storage sector to GDP growth amounted to 0.4 percentage points.
The share of transportation and storage in GDP reached 5.6%.
The largest shares of the transportation and storage sector in the sectoral structure of the gross regional product belong to the city of Tashkent (6.8 %) and the Samarkand region (5.6 %).
