In order to ensure the implementation of the tasks set in the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated March 4, 2024 No. PP-114 “On measures to organize the activities of the Statistics Agency under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan,” the Public Council under the Statistics Agency was formed with a new composition.
In this regard, on April 26 of this year, a meeting of the Public Council was held at the Statistics Agency under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
The event was attended by members of the Public Council under the Agency of Statistics, as well as heads of departments of the central office under the leadership of the Director of the Agency of Statistics under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Begalov Bakhodir Abdusalomovich.
The meeting was opened by the director of the Agency of Statistics under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Begalov Bakhodir Abdusalomovich, and introduced the members of the public council.
At the meeting, information was presented on the work done by the Statistics Agency for the 1st quarter of 2024.
In the program for January-March 2024, 782 statistical works were completed on time and in full, of which 390 were carried out by the Statistics Agency and its bodies, 226 other producers of official statistics and 166 other ministries, departments and organizations.
At the event, speeches were made and proposals were made to further increase the openness and transparency of statistical data and provide information to the general public: Deputy Chairman of the Public Council under the Statistics Agency, Head of the Department of the Institute for Advanced Studies and Statistical Research, Doctor of Economics, Academician Saidahror Gulyamov, member of the Public of the council, entrepreneur, founder of “Korzinka.uz” Zafar Koshimov, head of the department of the newspaper “Yangi Oʻzbekiston” Abdurauf Korzhoupov and head of the department of Monitoring and analysis of reforms in the social sphere of the “Development Strategy” center Jamshid Sharipov.
At the meeting, the agenda for the next meeting of the Public Council was approved.
The council also considered other issues on the agenda and approved the new composition of the Public Council.
Based on the results of the meeting of the Public Council under the Statistics Agency, appropriate decisions were made to ensure the implementation of the issues on the agenda.
