On April 26 of this year, a meeting with the mission of the International Monetary Fund was organized at the Statistics Agency under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
Under the leadership of the Director of the Statistics Agency under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Begalov Bahodir Abdusalomovich, the event was attended by employees of the central office, as well as representatives of the mission of the International Monetary Fund.
During the meeting, the issues of preparing for the population census process and improving household surveys, developing the potential to improve GDP statistics and the unobserved shadow economy, as well as the compatibility of statistics on foreign trade, exports and imports of goods and services with the Central Bank, as well as developing the potential to improve statistical data were discussed.
Following the meeting, the parties agreed to continue cooperation in all relevant areas aimed at developing statistical potential.
