According to preliminary data, in January-June 2024, 1,704 thousand tons of potatoes were grown by all categories of farms.
This indicator increased by 2 % in relation to 2023.
A significant share in the total volume of potato cultivation falls on the Samarkand region (18.6 %).
Also, high rates of potato cultivation were noted in Surkhandarya (13.3 %), Ferghana (12 %) and Andijan (11 %) regions.
