On October 23 of this year, the Statistics Agency under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan was visited by the mission of the Japanese International Cooperation Agency JICA, working on the project “Improving energy saving in the Republic of Uzbekistan”.
The JICA mission consisting of Mr. Soichiro Hayashi, Mr. Yoshihiko Kato, Mr. Teruo Hosokawa, Mr. Kohei Kuwamori and Ryota Hirose and other specialists arrived in Uzbekistan to prepare technical, financial and the economic justification of this project, including research and data collection.
The meeting with the JICA mission was attended by Sardor Juraev, Head of the Department of Industry and Energy Statistics, and responsible specialists of this Department - Bekzod Yuldoshev and Zayniddin Egamshukurov. The parties discussed the issues of formation of energy statistics, in particular, the formation of the fuel and energy balance of the Republic of Uzbekistan, profiles of enterprises with high energy consumption and the possibility of its rational use.
The parties agreed to continue cooperation within the framework of this project.
