This year marks the 33rd anniversary of the adoption of the Law "On the State Flag" of the independent Republic of Uzbekistan. The State flag, approved at the extraordinary VII session of the Supreme Council of the Republic of Uzbekistan on November 18, 1991, is considered a symbol of the country's state sovereignty, it means that there is an independent state of Uzbekistan on these borders of the earth, and it contains our national and cultural traditions. embodies.
Today, our flag represents our independent homeland on the international stage, including during the trips of official delegations of the Republic of Uzbekistan to foreign countries, in international organizations, conferences, world exhibitions, and sports competitions.
The blue color on the flag is a symbol of our clear sky and peaceful life, under which all nations are living peacefully, free from various dangers. The white color on the flag is a symbol of the citizens of our country living in harmony, respecting each other and living peacefully on the basis of the principles of religious tolerance. The green color means the renewal of nature and the paradise of our country. This color is a symbol of happiness, hope and joy in many nations.
The red lines are the streams of vital power flowing in the bodies of the children of the country who work tirelessly for the prosperity of our country and the development of the society. Navqiran crescent moon and stars are connected with our historical values, eternal traditions, spiritual strength. The crescent represents the achieved independence and freedom.
The flag of our country is a bright symbol of our past, present and future. Our great compatriot, great Sufism scholar, national hero and ardent poet Najmiddin Kubro, who did not want to hand over the flag of the country, died holding it tightly in his hands. No matter how hard the enemy tried, they could not take the flag from his hand and finally cut it with their claws. The lives of dozens of generals, such as Tomaris, Spitamen, Muqanna, Temur Malik, Amir Temur, Jalaluddin Manguberdi, who saved their lives more than their lives, are also a great example for our generations.
