The results of the 2023 Statistical Performance Indicators (SPI), developed by the World Bank based on an updated methodology, were announced recently.

In this international rating, Uzbekistan scored 80.3 points and took 62nd place among 217 countries of the world. All CIS countries participated in this rating, and according to the results of 2023, Uzbekistan took 4th place among the CIS countries.

This index reflects the results of the country's statistical potential, achievements and reforms in the development of the national statistical system.
In particular, the factors that contributed to Uzbekistan's rise to 62nd place in the "Statistical Performance Index" by the end of 2023 are the following:
- Implementation of advanced quality management systems GSBPM and GSIM in the national statistical system;
- Formation of indicators of the National Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) based on the global indicators of the UN Sustainable Development Goals;
- Ensuring maximum openness and transparency of official statistical information for domestic and foreign users, including the reflection of indicators of the socio-economic development of the republic in international statistical databases and collections;
- Full implementation of the modern System of national accounts "SNA-2008" in Uzbekistan.
According to the results of 2023, Uzbekistan rose to 4th place among the CIS countries.
