On December 6 of this year, the Internal Anti-Corruption Control Service of the Statistics Agency held an awareness-raising event with the participation of central office employees dedicated to "December 9 - International Anti-Corruption Day."
The event focused on explaining the implementation of the Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan No. LRU-419 "On Combating Corruption" in the Statistics Agency and its subordinate organizations. It aimed to prevent and combat corruption, as well as to foster uncompromising attitudes towards this vice among employees.
Special attention was drawn to the fact that this year, 70 tasks and functions of statistical bodies were assessed for corruption risks in order to transform the sector into a corruption-free system.
At the end of the meeting, B. Melikmurotov, the Chief Specialist of the Internal Anti-Corruption Control Service, provided detailed answers to the questions raised by the seminar participants.
